Employees protest at Adamawa Specialist Hospital, demand sack of medical director


Some aggrieved employees of the Specialist Hospital, Yola have protested over the alleged unlawful employment of laboratory scientists and lack of human relations by the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Wadinga Dauda.

The Information Company of Nigeria reviews that the protesters on Monday, blocked the principle gate with placards, demanding the sacking of the MD and laboratory scientists.

The chief of the protesters from the Medical Information Division, Mr. Awwal Lau, accused the MD of using non-indigenes, lack of human relations in dealing with workers issues and working a parallel laboratory within the hospital.

When contacted, the MD advised newsmen that when he took over, the pharmacy division was indebted to the tune of N39m, as a result of alleged involvement of the workers within the diversion of medicine.

In response to him, a number of the protesters have been transferred out for his or her roles in drug and scanning racketeering.
